The idea for this track was inspired by a melody by Gia Kancheli from the film Kin-dza-dza!, directed by Georgiy Daneliya in 1986. This film is truly timeless and is full of iconic lines, including: “When society has no color differentiation of trousers, there is no goal! And when there is no goal…”, “The government lives on another planet, my friend,” and the universal word “Ku!”, which replaces almost every other part of speech. In short, I highly recommend watching it if you haven’t seen it yet! The instrumental part was recorded with guitar by Alexey Ronov. Van and I also added choir, strings, and brass instruments: cello, around five violins, and a tuba. The creative process came effortlessly, accompanied by a pot of rare, collectible tea.
