Free from Anger, Fulfilling the Law: Matt. 5:17-26

Jesus did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. That means Jesus's life and teaching don't change what God commanded Israel, but perfectly encompass and live up to it. Jesus's life is the fullest picture of the way God designed us to be. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches us to live righteous lives before God by surrendering our hearts to him and learning to be forgiven. In the first example, Jesus applies this lesson to anger. To be free from anger, we must learn how to be forgiven.
