The spirit of mammon has one main goal: to lure us away from trusting God. It tries to wiggle its way into all aspects of our lives, including our finances, and tells us the exact opposite of what God tells us. If we let it, mammon will generate fear in us about our money while putting us in debt; in short, it wants to rule our lives.
