We go to 1 John 2 to name those patterns clearly: the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life, then we get honest about how those desires show up in real life through habits, stress, and hidden compromises.  Gage Lee joins me to share part of his story, including what changed when he stopped fleeing from the feeling and started bringing the struggle into the light. We talk about surrendering the whole life to Jesus, not just the parts that look acceptable, and why Christian community, encouragement, and wise counsel can be the difference between repeating a cycle and finally breaking it. We also wrestle with the sobering truth that our choices can invite others into sin, and how God can redeem even the wake we leave behind.  Pastor Celeste Brown shares a powerful example of a “socially accepted” temptation: sarcasm and the cutting tongue. From there we look at Jesus in Matthew 4 and how he answers spiritual attack with Scripture, plus the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13 that God provides a way of escape.
