Today our Colossians text Paul is speaking to our mindset...our outlook....our perspective!!! Paul is fundamentally arguing for a change of mindset for these new believers. He's basically saying, "Christian...you have to start thinking about yourselves differently." He's trying to open their minds to their new reality "of being complete in Christ." Their old ways of thinking about how to find favor with God, and how to awaken the spiritual dimension in their lives, all has to change. Before Christ all they knew was the prison walls of their sinful nature. When Christ frees them, they have to gain a new mindset. It's a new freedom mindset.
