Freeman vs Fickell Reunion Game | Wisconsin Badgers Football News

Notre Dame opens the 2026 season with a high-stakes clash at Lambeau Field against Wisconsin — a rescheduled Shamrock Series game that’s now loaded with personal and programmatic history. Former Cincinnati teammates Marcus Freeman and Luke Fickell are back on the gridiron, each chasing new momentum: Freeman thriving in South Bend, Fickell wrestling with rebuilding the Badgers. Wisconsin’s offseason overhaul — 27 transfers ready to play — hits the ground running against a loaded Irish squad led by QB CJ Carr. Both teams carry injury questions, but Notre Dame’s depth and returning coordinators give them an edge. Wisconsin’s defense excels stopping the run, but their shaky secondary faces a tough test. This one’s got everything — legacy, strategy, and stakes — starting at 7:30 PM ET on NBC and Peacock. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
