Freeports: Who Benefits?

We first looked at Freeports, and the Scottish Green Freeport idea, in an earlier episode of Scottish Independence Podcasts (link below). Since then, we have been following developments with interest and we are delighted to have had the chance to chat to an acknowledged expert in the field of Customs Law Enforcement, retired customs officer Peter Henderson. Peter was the creator of the "six requirements" or tests, which SNP conference overwhelmingly adopted as a safeguard against the risks posed by Freeports. In this episode, Peter explains the thinking behind the tests and shares some of his vast store of experience from his 40 years in the field.
