FREQUENCY UPLIFT!FRI. 12.01.202310am-1pm PACIFIC  first Friday's poet ANTHONY CODY, in the house, reading from his works 'The Rendering'  and 'Borderland Apocrypha' and talking on the deep history and his lineage in the Bracero Program and the Dust Bowl... exploring the erasures of the histories of anti-Mexican violence in our borderlands, and confronting the ongoing erasures in our current climate crises with his experimental poetic strategies       ...then, in the second hour, AGAINST AMNESIA, we'll talk with author and organizer JAMES TRACY, of the HOWARD ZINN BOOK FAIR.  Coming back this year after the pandemic, this annual celebration of People’s History and our common future brings together authors, readers, organizers and community members to debate and discuss strategies for a better world, in this era of attacks on memory+  an update from MAIC LOPEZ, community-gardener with the under-threat MISSION GREENWAY project, a centerpiece space of Saturday's 20th anniversary of the Mission Arts and Performance Project ... PROPS !+  OUR POET's PLAYLIST,   new music from all over the Bay and well beyond, and beyond genre, plus tickets and big community love... …  all broadcasting live from unceded Ramaytush Ohlone territory.
