Fresh Faces, Big Dreams at Villanova | Villanova Wildcats Basketball News

Two freshmen, Abby Graul and Reese Tremper, are making waves on Villanova’s women’s soccer team — zero goals allowed in six games, and both players hail from far-flung states with elite athletic backgrounds. Graul, a Dallas native whose mom played Division I soccer, switched from Maryland after coaching changes to find her dream school at Villanova. Tremper, a Southern California standout who juggle basketball and soccer in high school, was scouted by the same coach at a Phoenix tournament — where she unknowingly faced Graul. Now roommates and the only two freshmen on the squad, they’re embracing early mornings, tough schedules, and Villanova’s gritty “DIG” culture — all while feeling welcomed and energized by a program poised for greatness.
