TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Beyond rationality, one of the basic attributes that distinguishes human beings from beasts is the ability to be compassionate. Without compassion we'll end up treating one another as mere beasts or animals do. This is because without compassion the human reasoning ability leads us more often to destroying the self and others. Today, God calls us specially to the life of compassion, love, kindness and hospitality to all. Let's heal one another and as such the world by imbibing the virtue of compassion in all we do.
