TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The wages of sin is death but Jesus Christ, the Son of man, has come that we may have life and have it in abundance. Sin separates us from God and once separated from God we loose our "immunity" and as such we become vulnerable to death (we are alienated from God; the source of life). Thus, following the faith of his friends, Jesus reconciles the paralytic brought to Him in this Gospel episode by forgiving his sins. It's upon this reconciliation/forgiveness that the paralytic received healing and restoration. Do you desire forgiveness, healing, restoration and divine blessings, be reconciled with God and with your fellow human beings and you'll live to testify just like the paralytic.
