Fri. July 2nd, 2021 Homily by FadaPeterBenson: JESUS, THE FRIEND OF SINNERS.

THE HEART OF TODAY'S HOMILY. Jesus, indeed God, is the true friend of sinners; a relationship that is targeted at transforming the sinner to a disciple and then to a Saint, the true child of God as it were. Obviously, it's the sick that needs the physician and the relationship between the sick and the physician is meant to restore the sick to good health. This is the aim of our relationship with God in Jesus Christ. We're invited to FOLLOW Jesus in his own way of life, thereby dropping our own (old) way of life for his. May God help us to be true friends and disciples of Jesus so we can enjoy the fulness of the benefits of this new relationship.
