TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Just as crops compete with the weeds for soil nutrients and sunlight so too, once the Word of God is planted in us, the enemy plants weeds to compete with and possibly suppress the Word of God so it doesn't bear fruits. Nevertheless, our consistency in living out the Word of God in virtue makes us overcome all forms of opposition of weeds aimed at suppressing, suffocating and terminating the Word of God in our life, thereby aborting the life of virtue in and around us.
