Prayer, beyond being an act of expressing oneself to God, is the medium of total communion with God; presenting to Him our yearnings, seeking His will, learning His will, accepting His, acting on His will and being at peace with His will. Prayer then is a moment of realistic encounter with God; an encounter that is never-ending, an encounter centred on practical union with the Divine.
