So we have news, coffee and a LOT to talk about. Let's do this ya'll! - The Aurora City Council has approved contracts totaling $3.2 million with Scientel Solutions. The MCIP (manufacturing careers internship program) is specifically designed for young people who may have traditional barriers to employment. If you or someone you know is 18 to 24 years old and not in school this is a helpful program for them. Low income, backgrounds or disabilities are all qualifiers to receive certification. Pay is $13.00 and boots, a cell phone up to 3 months if they need one, and uniforms are provided. There are additional services for education and training once they finish the 8 weeks and a career advisor will stay and work with them for up to a year providing services and support.
