With a look at a few of the events.Kankakee County Fair ContinuesThe Kankakee County Fair continues today at the fairgrounds just south of Kankakee.  Health Fair tomorrow in KankakeeHippocrates Medical Clinic in downtown Kankakee will host a “Back to School Health Fair” Saturday at their location on East Court. Dondi Maricle is the President of Hippocrates Board of Directors.  She states there’ll be other businesses there to offer their services as well. Lake Co IN Fair starts todayThe Lake County Fair in Crown Point, Indiana begins today. The Lake County Fair runs through August 10th in Crown Point. There is one coming up tomorrow afternoon from 1 to 3 at the Salvation Army in Kankakee hosted by Kankakee United and other organizations.  You can find out more about tomorrow’s Back to School Giveaway on the City of Kankakee’s Facebook page.Illinois roads rated so-soUS News and World report is out with their take on the quality of roadways in every state in the union. Out of the 50 states, Illinois ranks 29th in road quality rating as the 36th best state overall, 22nd in road infrastructure and 29th in transportation.US News and World Report rates Indiana's roads number one, Rhode Island dead last in 50th.Alarm calls firefighters to Wilmington HSWilmington Fire Department personnel were called out to a fire alarm set off at Wilmington High School early Thursday afternoon . Reports say it turned out to be  a small dryer fire that was put out by the sprinklers in the building. The blaze caused minor smoke and water damage. No one was injured. Have a news tip to share?
