Friday Faith Foundations - Do you feel overwhelmed?

As small business owners, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. Never ending to-do lists and quite often, a one-person show. Growing a small business can also feel lonely if you're a solopreneur. Have you said to yourself, "I feel overwhelmed" as you walk your entrepreneurial journey? I think most solopreneurs feel overwhelmed and lonely at one point in time or another. But Psalms 25:4-5 provides comfort and hope for all of us. It reads: "Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." It is common for small business owners, especially solopreneurs to feel overwhelmed. Growing a business is challenging there's no doubt about it. The to-do lists are often long and grow much faster than they shrink. It's easy to think that you don't know where to begin. In addition, you may feel stuck and fear and doubt may hold you back, especially when a launch doesn't go well or someone says no to hiring you. And you may experience confusion because of all of the advice you see online. Or maybe you've hired multiple people to help you, or taken multiple courses, and now you don't know what to do or when to do it. It's overwhelming, and I hear that from my clients all the time. Belief and faith become very important when you are trying to grow a business Here's where faith and belief come into play. To grow a successful business you need to believe that God has a purpose for you and that there are people who will hire you, who need you to solve a problem for them. You need to believe that you have unique gifts and talents to use to help others. This is where your story and journey to get to where you are today becomes an important factor in your beliefs. Likewise, you also need to believe that your soulmate clients exist and are looking for you. That God has planted seeds in them to seek and find you.
