Whether you’ve spent every waking moment of your life engaged in sin or your trespasses are few and far between, you still fall far short of God’s standard of righteousness. If you compare your separation from Him to the Grand Canyon, it doesn’t matter if you can jump a couple of feet or you’re a long-jump world champion. If you try to jump across, the results will be the same.
