Friday, May 29, 2026: Spelling bee; First Prom; Mommy's Margarita Friday!

It's time for Week-In-Song with former Producer Jon! Wow, what a week- Inflation, wrangling snakes, and a quiet tornado season! Happy Friday! A weird week means weird things happening! What is the strangest thing you saw this week or what's the strangest thing that happened to you? There’s got to be something! Anna’s daughter is headed to her first prom tonight- Junior Prom! As we know, times have changed. Raven took it upon himself to ask her the real questions about the dance later on.  Every week Anna and Raven invite a middle school student to participate in Middle Schooler News! They report the headline news and Anna and Raven comment on it! This week Devon joins the show and Anna and Raven find out what’s going on in the world!   It’s Mommy’s Margarita Friday! What did you do for your Mommy Margarita?     The 2026 National Scripps spelling bee took place last night. In lieu of a 14-year-old taking home the trophy- Anna puts Raven and Producer Justin to the test to  Melanie's sister is about to get married and she thinks she’s making a huge mistake. She’s only been dating the guy for eight months and she’s pregnant. She thinks he’s nerdy, and boring. She wants to tell her sister to bail on the guy, she can move in with them if she needs financial help.  Her husband, Charles, says that the guy has a great job and is kind to her. Isn’t that enough? She says she knows her sister well enough that she’ll get bored and will ruin her life, leave him now before she breaks his heart and ruins her future. Charles says you can’t tell people what decisions to make. What do you think?   Rudy has a chance to win $1,500! All he has to do is answer more pop culture questions than Raven in Can’t Beat Raven!
