Friday of the 14th Week of Ordinary Time

Today's readings explore the interplay between honest return and faithful endurance — what it looks like to come back to God, and what it costs to go forward for him. Hosea offers a striking portrait of God's response to a people who acknowledge their failures and turn back with empty hands. The Gospel then sends the disciples out into a world of real opposition, with a promise about who will be speaking when words are needed most.
