God is king of all the earth. All people, clap your hands.  Cry to God with shouts of joy.  For the Lord, the Most High, is awesome,  the great king over or the earth. He humbles peoples under us  and nations under our feet.  Our heritage he chose for us,  the pride of Jacob whom he loves. God goes up with shouts of joy.  The Lord goes up with trumpet blast.  Sing praise for God, sing praise! Sing praise to our king, sing praise!R/. God is king of all the earth.Gospel: John 16:20-23aAt that time:  Jesus said to his disciples,  “Truly, truly, I say to you,  you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice;  you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.  When a woman is in labour she has pain,  because her hour has come;  but when she is delivered of the child, she no longer remembers the anguish,  for joy that a childis born into the world.  So you have sorrow now,  but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice,  and no one will take your joy from you.  In that day you will ask nothing of me.
