As kids, friends seem to happen to us, but it is possible to go through adulthood without any significant friendships. If you live in the city, that possibility is multiplied. We live in a place where we are surrounded by strangers. The struggle is even worse because over the past 30 years friendship has plummeted while loneliness is on the rise. Yet, friendship is essential. It's beneficial to our physical, mental health, and spiritual health.
