Friendship With Jesus Means Friendship in the Church

Friendship can feel optional, especially when making room for others costs time and comfort. Jesus calls His disciples friends because He freely gave His infinitely valuable life in their place. He chose and loved them before they could obey, then commanded them to love one another with the same willingness to sacrifice. His friendship reshapes church life.
