Jay has been hanging out with Emily for a little while, and she even joined him for a family dinner about a week ago. She has been avoiding him ever since, though, and it may be because his parents asked if she was his girlfriend... He said no. She was quiet the rest of the dinner, and then on the ride home, she mentioned that she thought they were more than just friends and thought that they were already dating. It turned into a whole thing, and he ended up dropping her off while saying, "fine, you can be my girlfriend!" Unsurprisingly, she didn't really like that, and now he feels like he's been sent back to the Friendzone ever since.
