It not only establishes Jesus as the descendant of David, and thus the rightful king, it also shows that he was fully human during his time on Earth.This week, we discuss the genealogies at the beginning of the chronicles, which scholars believe were written sometime after the Jews returned from Babylon beginning in 538 BC.
