Bible teaching by Alex Vaca on the 12th July 2026. TEACHING NOTES Micah 5:2, "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah..." • God often works through what the world considers insignificant. • God answers the failure of human leaders by sending His own King. • The Messiah comes from David's hometown, fulfilling God's covenant. • Jesus did not begin in Bethlehem; He is the eternal Son of God. Micah 5:3, "Therefore He shall give them up until..." • God's discipline is real, but it always has a purpose. • The word "until" reminds us that suffering has an end. • God preserves a remnant and fulfils His promises. Micah 5:4, "He shall stand and shepherd His flock..." • Jesus is the Shepherd-King. • He leads with God's strength, not human power. • True security is found in the presence of the Shepherd. • Christ's kingdom extends to the ends of the earth. Micah 5:5, "And He shall be their peace..." • Jesus does not merely bring peace- He is our peace. • The presence of enemies does not mean the absence of God's peace. God always provides more than enough for His people. Micah 5:6, "He shall deliver us..." • Jesus rescues His people from sin, death and the power of the enemy.
