Naomi knew what it was like to be filled with good things, and she knew was it was like to be empty (Ruth 1:21). How is a person supposed to rejoice continuously while walking such a dark, lonely road? There is one promise that holds the key to joy in the midst of emptiness: that of a Redeemer. Whatever loss or emptiness we experience; we can rejoice knowing that God will restore to us whatever this world has taken (Joel 2:25). Trust Him to redeem it all and to fill in everyone of your empty places.
