From Blackouts to Clarity: My Story | Part 1

In this episode, I’m finally sharing my own story. I talk about how alcohol became such a big part of my life, how my upbringing shaped the way I coped, and what it was like trying to figure all of this out as someone in the LGBTQIA+ community.I walk through the moments that pulled me deeper into drinking, the consequences that followed — including multiple DUIs — and what it looked like to keep trying to get sober without really committing to it. I also talk about the support I got from family, friends, and community, and how much that actually mattered.And since there’s no way to fit all of it into one episode, I end with a cliffhanger. Part 2 is coming next, where I’ll get into what my first year alcohol-free was really like.
