"From Confusion to Clarity" Luke 24:13-35 (Sunday 4/16/23)

"I have one last thing to say to you..." Isn't there something about that statement that makes you want to lean in and listen? Death bed confessionals and Last Will & Testaments grab our attention, don't they? Bob Marley's last words words were "Money can't buy life." Deep stuff. There's something about the ending of things that brings an intensity of focus. As we continue to reflect on the awesome celebration of Easter, we begin to follow Jesus through his last moments on earth. The first followers of the resurrected Jesus encountered Him in life-changing ways, and we want to consider Jesus' last words and what they mean for us today. We'll take the next 5 Sundays to look at these last conversations, these parting words. Jesus encounters His friends in their most broken, confused, and fearful state, right where they were, so that He could meet their needs, heal them, and empower them.
