From D1 Athlete to Future Doctor

Welcome to the Beyond the Scope Podcast presented by ND MD. This podcast continues the mission of sharing the incredible stories and experiences of students, physicians, and healthcare professionals...but this time it's all about the things all those years of medical training doesn't prepare you for. Things that are beyond the scope of our practice. Today we kick off Season 2 with a brilliant accepted medical student who can speak to all the collegiate athletes out there. It's no secret that the life of a student athlete at a division 1 university is far from balanced, but try adding a whole pre-medical course load along with it. Nehaa, the NCAA's first Pakistani division 1 female basketball player hopes to inspire the next generation of student athletes turned physicians with her story.
