From Death To Life Bible Reading: Jonah 1:17 - 2:10 Summary: In the belly of the fish, Jonah rejoiced in the Lord. His prayer was answered. He stood on the edge of the grave and hell, and the Lord heard his prayer. Jonah’s prayer can be described as a messenger who ran from the site of misery and death and entered into the house of the Lord and stood before him. This is the mighty power of prayer. Therefore, Jonah rejoiced in the Lord in verse 4: “yet I shall again look upon your holy temple.” Jonah could not save himself, but God did.
