From Disqualification to National Title
from Providence News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
After a heartbreaking disqualification last year—just steps from victory—Nathan Tassey returned stronger, fiercer, and finally claimed Roger Williams University’s first-ever NCAA Division III national title in the five-thousand-meter race. With grit, heart, and a bib still hanging in his room as daily fuel, he turned last year’s snub into this year’s triumph, even running the ten-thousand-meter race and coming back the next day to seize his moment. Now, with his collegiate career ending, he’s already setting his sights on a marathon—proof that perseverance turns defeat into destiny.
