From DOWNTOWN! Ep. 9
from Above the Break Hosted by Nevin Brown
From DOWNTOWN! with James Piercey and Nevin Brown finishes off a frenzied free agency. Before Nevin and James get into the newest contracts they talk about Charles Barkley's statement that LeBron's legacy is tarnished because "he stacks the deck." Then they examine Kevin Durant and Julius Randle's extensions, talk about Spencer Dinwiddie to the Washington Wizards, and the lowkey signings of Kelly Oubre Jr, Reggie Jackson, Andre Iguodala, and Justise Winslow. The dynamic duo dish on Kawhi Leonard and player empowerment before finding current free agents Dennis Schroder, Josh Hart, Lauri Markkanen, Paul Milsaps, and JJ Reddick new homes. Nevin and James do a sort of apology to the Knicks, asks have the Trail Blazers done enough to keep Damian Lillard around? and what the heck are the Celtics doing? The episode concludes with Nevin's individual Olympic medals for basketball.
