Dr. Lynn Rogers is the former Director of the Neuralplasticity Laboratory at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and a former dominant athlete, completing multiple Iron Man races and more, but in July of 2017, she went from Ironman ready to paralyzed. She has been diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), where she could spend months in the hospital repeatedly making progress and then relapsing.  Her body attacks its own nervous system, eating away the nerves coating and damaging the nerves themselves.
