Ep. 40 - From Ireland to Tajikistan
from RAW Mission · host Frontiers UK
How did Cate go from working in HR in the city of London to a life involving treading cow dung for fuel, trying to milk a cow, sleeping on a mat and washing clothes in the river in Tajikistan?!How did she cope with living in a society in which women are regularly married off at 15 or 16 years old, beaten by their husbands for any perceived wrongdoing and have no option but to live a life of domestic servitude under the strict authority of the mother-in-law?Some are called to start charities, tackle injustice at a governmental level, write books, become well-known in the church and in the world. Others are called to live a simple life of love, bringing the kingdom to one heart at a time, influencing individuals, families and communities - under the radar, away from the public eye.Cate is one of the latter, an inspiring example of a cross-cultural gospel worker fulfilling our mandate to be the 'salt of the earth' and the 'light of the world'.
