James Tucker played 13 years of professional rugby for Waikato, the Chiefs, Blues, Hurricanes and Brumbies, plus stints in Italy and Japan, and along the way racked up 22 surgeries, including two blown ACLs, a broken sacrum and rib cartilage snapped clean in half on both sides.
