If you’re curious about turning family history into fiction, finding creativity after a corporate career, or simply love a good story about reinvention, this episode is for you. Stay tuned as James reflects on his research process, the art of writing dialogue, and the inspiration behind his books "Bean Fate" and "The Monmouth Manifesto."James' Website: https://www.jamesarnett.caJames' Bio:James Arnett’s career tells a story of achievement across law, business, and public service. Raised in Winnipeg, he began his legal journey with the Department of Justice in both Ottawa and his hometown, before settling in Toronto to build a lasting career as a corporate lawyer. His expertise led him to the helm of Molson as Chief Executive Officer, a role he held for three years before retiring from corporate life. Retirement, however, only opened new doors: Arnett served on corporate boards, offered his expertise as an advisor, and worked closely with Ontario’s McGuinty government on key initiatives. His commitment to public service culminated in his role as Chair of Hydro One, Ontario’s major electric utility. Throughout, James Arnett’s story reflects a dedication to leadership and meaningful impact in both private and public sectors.***************************************************************You can connect with David Gouthro at:Website:https://davidgouthro.com/  (where you can also subscribe to my Blog)LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidgouthro/NOTE: If you wish to join in the podcast fun, please click here to book your own episode with me: https://calendly.com/gouthro/podcast-pals!
