From Meadville to the Movies: The Haunted Legend of Pig Hill with R.A. Mihailoff and Ted Watts Jr.

Episode 45: Slice of the Paranormal has gotten exclusive access to the upcoming horror movie Pig Hill — based on a haunted site we investigated back in Episode 32! While visiting the infamous Pennhurst Asylum, Christy and Steven met horror icon R.A. Mihailoff (best known as Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre III). They discussed the chilling dark lore of Crawford County's notorious Pig Hill — a haunted landscape shrouded in local legend. R.A., who has starred in cult horror classics like Hatchet II, Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings, and Death House, has teamed up with fellow Crawford County native Ted Watts Jr. (Last Flag Flying, The Clog, Pig Hill). Together, they've brought this terrifying urban legend to the big screen. Inspired by Nancy Williams' book Pig Hill, the film blends real Pennsylvania folklore, a local radio tower hill, and the chilling tales of Meadville into a nightmare come alive for horror fans everywhere. In this episode, we dive into the making of Pig Hill, the eerie history behind the legend, and how small-town ghost stories can transform into national horror cinema. If you love paranormal investigations, haunted Pennsylvania stories, and behind-the-scenes horror movie insights, this episode is for you.
