Located at 33–37  Wardour Street from 1957 onwards & played an integral role in  the development of British Rhythm and Blues and Modern Jazz. (AN APPOINTMENT WITH MOD!) “I dropped in to the flamingo, it was still pretty early, Brownie and the Prince were huddled ‘round a small table, in a most important meet. The Messengers were just coolin’ , Lady Ella was in town, and Manny talking gibberish about the end of the world. I’m just trying make it through till the end of the night. Later they’d be some of the swingin’est Jazz that had made its way to this side.
