She holds a PhD in Family Therapy, with research focused on how white fundamentalist evangelical Christianity conceptualizes mental illness. Her work includes developing a White American Fundamentalist Evangelical Power and Control Wheel, inspired by the Duluth Model.Naomi has worked in the mental health field for nearly a decade across psychiatric hospitals, child welfare, and intensive in-home therapy. She specializes in working with individuals and families impacted by religious trauma, spiritual abuse, faith deconstruction, and complex mental health concerns.
