Disrespectfully, The Gworlz had the opportunity to sit down with Zamyah Esters, an advocate, influencer, an executive assistant, and trail-blazer within the LGBT community.Zamyah spent approximately 10 years in prison and eventually realized that she was trans. After leaving prison she became an advocate for those in the LGBT community, especially for people living within the trans experience.She has been taken under the wing of predominant figures in the LGBT community, such as TS Madison and Dominique Morgan. As a result, Zamyah was the first person to become a resident at the TS Madison Starter House, a recovery and re-entry facility for formerly incarcerated black transgender women.Zamyah speaks on panels, is a social media entertainer, hosts community events, and does everything within her power to provide access to resources for other trans women. In her own words, "I don't gatekeep. If it was free for me, it should be free for you.
