While incarcerated, Adnan founded Firstwatch, a media filmmaking project produced entirely by incarcerated men at San Quentin State Prison. He also created Re:Store Justice, a nonprofit criminal justice organization, where he advocated for the successful passage of Senate Bill 1437.
