From Prison Workshop to Global Impact: The Bruce Sampson Story

Bruce Sampson has spent his life at the intersection of entertainment, education, and community impact—directing, producing, and teaching across the U.S. and around the world. In this conversation, Bruce shares how a single prison workshop in Europe sparked the idea that became Believe Performing Arts Experience, now a 501(c)(3) program that helps young people build confidence, connection, and courage through a “Believe Universe” built on trust and belonging. We also unpack what leaders in any industry can borrow from Bruce’s approach: creating safe space, building culture, knowing your audience, and helping people become who they already are.
