From Revival Fires to False Assurance: Should We Still Do Altar Calls?

Altar calls are a staple of a typical church service, and have been for a long time. But it hasn’t always been that way. In this episode of RE3 we explore the origins & evolution of the modern altar service, as well as the danger & consequences to a church and/or pastor. With its history as a tool of manipulation, along with the excess and error seen in today’s NAR & Hyper Charismatic movement- many churches are moving away from the altar call altogether. And maybe that’s a good thing.
