FROM SETBACK TO COMEBACK

Devotional Message Scripture: “The righteous may fall seven times, but they rise again.” – Proverbs 24:16 (NIV) Setbacks are part of life. They come as unexpected losses, disappointments, delays, or failures. Yet, for the child of God, a setback is never the final chapter — it is often the setup for a mighty comeback. Joseph was thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, and cast into prison, but each setback positioned him closer to the palace. Job lost everything, but God restored him with double. Jesus Himself was crucified, placed in a tomb, and counted out — but on the third day, He rose again in ultimate victory. What distinguishes a believer is not the absence of trouble, but the persistence of faith. When you refuse to let failure define you, when you keep trusting God in the valley, and when you rise after being knocked down, heaven aligns to turn your test into testimony. Reflection: Are you in a season where it feels like everything has gone wrong? Remember, your current setback does not cancel God’s promises. Instead, it may be the platform for your greatest testimony. Prayer: Almighty Father, I thank You that no setback in my life is final. I choose to rise in faith, trusting that You are working all things together for my good. Turn my pain into purpose, my tears into testimony, and my obstacles into opportunities. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
