Jesus called Himself the good shepherd and the Word tells us later that He was in fact the great shepherd! We look back and see the Patriarchs and their wives were shepherds (and shepherdesses!) and God Himself said that HE would shepherd His people. There is no greater call than for us as sheep, to become shepherds like our perfect example, Jesus! Every man is to shepherd his home. Every woman is to shepherd her children. Every sibling is to shepherd their young siblings. Every man is to shepherd his neighbor. As we rightly shepherd ourselves in His Presence through obedience, then likewise with our families, the world will be changed one life, one family, and one nation at a time!!
