From SOT-A to the 160th to Special Forces | Dan Runyon | Ep. 257

Daniel Runyon grew up running around in the backwoods of Illinois. He had a successful high school and Division III college football career. His real passion, however, turned out to be the U.S. Army; a passion he turned into a distinguished career as a Special Forces Commander.Dan’s moving from the enlisted ranks into the officer corps, at a relatively old age was considered a bold choice and set him apart from other leaders. He would go on to command Special Forces assault teams in Afghanistan and Iraq after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 – 9/11. He ultimately rose in the ranks to command his own Special Forces Company in Iraq.After his service was complete, Dan moved to Colorado and established Runyon Training Concepts, a high mountain training camp he built from scratch.
