From Storm to New Life: Noah's Ark and Jesus' Cross

Welcome to my latest message in the Genesis - Foundations series! In this sermon, we dive deep into the story of Noah’s Ark (Genesis 6) and uncover its profound symbolism. The Ark is more than a tale of animals and a flood; it’s a foreshadowing of the cross and a vivid reminder of the church’s role as the only place of rescue and renewal. Key points covered in this sermon: • The Ark as a symbol of the cross and Jesus as our ultimate salvation. • The pervasive nature of sin and its destructive impact on humanity. • The urgency of being “in the Ark”—a life grounded in Christ and His Church. • How Noah’s Ark points to baptism, new creation, and God’s promise of restoration. • A challenge to live with a sense of urgency, prepared for Christ’s return. Bible Verses Referenced: • Genesis 6 (Noah and the flood) • Matthew 24:37-39 (The days of Noah) • Romans 6:4 (Baptism into new life) • 2 Corinthians 5:17 (New creation in Christ) This sermon calls us to examine our lives, reject the false “marks” we rely on, and trust in Jesus, the only one who rose from the dead and calms every storm. Are you ready to step into the Ark and experience true peace, freedom, and life in Him?
