Episode 156 In this episode of The Empowering Process Podcast, I speak with Sally Lotz about her biggest struggle of coming to grips with her own truth. Growing up in a cult and an abusive home as a child with ADHD and Dyslexia, and also a peacemaker spirit, she struggled for years after getting out to find her path, her truth. Sally discovered that writing is what gave her that outlet. Writing allowed her to speak her truth in a way where others could connect and discover their own path a well. She realized her struggle allowed her to create characters, create stories with depth and feelings that resonate with readers. As a writer - this brings her happiness to have her words help someone else. Now Sally gets to encourage other people through coaching and her own work. Sally is the founder of Sally Lotz, LLC and is a children’s author, writing coach, and mentor. Her fourth book, The Truth is a Lie, a young adult novel, came out in May of 2023 and is based on her true-life experiences of growing up in the world's largest doomsday cult, The Jehovah's Witnesses. As a writing coach and mentor, she is passionate about writing and teaching others how to create and share their stories with her program Write a Book in 30 Days – No Experience Required. She also leads workshops and hosts virtual workspaces. She believes that everyone has a story to tell.
