We witnessed loss. We witnessed stigma. We witnessed fear. But we also witnessed extraordinary courage, medical breakthroughs, resilience, advocacy, and survival. Now, decades later, a new question emerges: How do we move from simply surviving… to truly thriving? With today’s changing healthcare landscape and recent federal funding cuts creating uncertainty, what does the future of HIV care look like? What should people living with HIV know? How can we continue to advocate for ourselves, protect our health, embrace hope, and live fully?  Dr. Hodge brings extensive experience in infectious diseases, HIV prevention, sexual health, and patient-centered care—and a powerful belief that patients should be informed, engaged, and active participants in their own healthcare. And on this special evening, we will also pause to remember, reflect upon, and honor the life and legacy of Bishop Yao K. Rainey Cheeks, D.D., of Inner Light Ministries. Bishop Yao K. Rainey Cheeks was a pioneer in the fight to eradicate the HIV and AIDS crisis in the African American community, helping to bring awareness, advocacy, compassion, and a powerful voice to a community facing devastating loss and stigma. His legacyreminds us that the fight was never simply about a disease. It was about people. Dignity. Community. Advocacy. Love. And the right to live.❤️ From Survival to Strength. ✨ From Strength to Hope. 🌟From Hope to the Next Chapter.Join Alvin King and Bobby Edwards, and special guest Dr. Theo Hodge for a conversation that promises to inform, inspire, and remind us that our story is not over.
